Lush In Your Dreams Valentine's Day Gift Box.

Even though I have a few favourites when we're talking about Lush, I also love to try out their new stuff every now and then. I'm especially in love with Lush their valentines products. Valentine's day is today and with that in my head a few weeks ago I ordered a box with two new products. I chose for the In Your Dreams valentine's day gift box, which exists out of the unicorn bubble bar, especially for valentine, and granny takes a dip, in the regular collection. NL: Hoewel ik van Lush natuurlijk zo mijn favorieten heb vind ik het ook altijd leuk om wat nieuws uit te proberen op zijn tijd. Zo ben ik met name gek op de valentijnsproducten en omdat die natuurlijk nu in de winkel liggen bestelde ik eens een setje met daarin twee nieuwe producten. Ik koos voor de In Your Dreams gift box, bestaande uit de unicorn bubble bar uit de valentijnscollectie, en granny takes a dip uit de gewone collectie.

I started with the product on top of the box; the unicorn bubble bar. I never really understood the unicorn hype, but of course that didn't bother me much. I only wanted to try this because of the many positive reviews I read about this one. The design however didn't appeal to me at all; but I also read that a lot of ladies loved it! NL: Ik begon met het product wat bovenop lag; De unicorn bubble bar. Ik heb de eenhoorn hype eigenlijk nooit zo gesnapt en doe dat nog steeds niet, maar na het lezen van positieve verhalen over dit product wilde ik hem wel graag eens uitproberen.

The unicorn bubble bar may look quite happy, but even though I just don't like it. I'm more a fan of the Sex Bomb or Love Locket designs, but that's just personal. And Of course I don't care that much about design, I just wanted it to smell lovely and give me a nice bath time. NL: De Unicorn bubble bar ziet er erg vrolijk uit, al is het niet mijn meest favoriete product qua vormgeving. Ik ben meer een fan van Sex Bomb en Love Locket, maar het gaat me natuurlijk om de geur en werking van de bubble bar.

The minute you crumble the bubble bar underneath the crane it creates this huge amount of bubbles. My bath also turned into this lighly pink coloured water. I have to say that I was a a little scared of the floating glitters, I didn't want them to stick to my skin and thankfully they didn't. NL: Zodra je de Unicorn bubble bar verkruimelt onder de kraan krijg je een enorme hoeveelheid schuim en kleurt je bad lichtjes roze. Ik was in eerste instantie een beetje bang dat de glitters echt op mijn huid zouden te komen zitten, maar dit was gelukkig niet het geval.

If we're talking about the scent I can say that it reminds me a lot of the northern lights by Lush. It's a bit lavendery and has a side of vanilla, definitely something you can try when you want to relax. I'm not a lavender fan usually, but the Lush scents with lavender seem to appeal to me everyime. This bubble bar makes my skin really soft as well, and I can't say anything negative about the bubble bar besides the design. I enjoyed it a lot! NL: De Unicorn bubble bar doet mij qua geur erg aan Northern Lights van Lush denken. Ik vind het echt een lavendel geurtje, heerlijk om mee te ontspannen. Zelf ben ik eigenlijk niet zo'n fan van lavendel, maar in de producten van Lush vind ik het nooit een probleem. Naast het heerlijke schuim en de fijne geur maakt deze bubble bar mijn huid ook nog eens heerlijk zacht. Wat mij betreft is dit zeker een aanrader, ik vond hem in ieder geval heerlijk!

Secondly the box consists out of the Granny takes a dip bath bomb. A very particular name, just as all of the colours. It looks really happy, but again i don't really like the design. I wouldn't have bought this one if it would only be the design, but of course I would like to try it out. The design is gone when it's dropped in the bath tub anyway! NL: Als tweede bevat deze box de Granny takes a dip bath bomb. Deze ziet er al meteen erg vrolijk uit en ik vind deze vormgeving een stukje leuker dan de unicorn bubble bar, al zou ik beide producten niet kopen als het enkel aan de vormgeving lag. Ik vind ze daar beide namelijk niet leuk genoeg voor, maar ik was wel weer erg benieuwd naar de werking van dit product.

Granny takes a dip is an explosion of colours once you ''dipped'' it in the bath. It will turn your bath into this light, violet colour eventually with also a little bit of bubbles. You can't expect much of these bubbles (it still is a bath bomb and not a bubble bar) but I like that it produces a little bit of bubbles anyway! NL: Granny takes a dip is een kleurenexplosie zodra je hem in het badwater gooit en uiteindelijk zul je een lichtpaars bad overhouden met een klein beetje schuim. Je hoeft geen grote hoeveelheid schuim te verwachten aangezien het een bath bomb is en geen bubble bar, maar ik vind het wel fijn dat er een klein beetje van af komt.

Granny takes a dip makes my skin soft just as the unicorn bubble bar, and It makes me a great bath. I didn't really like the scent though, but it wasn't that bad that I got out of the bath after a few minutes. I only dislike the black pepper being so predominant, I would have loved it a little more if the citrus and ginger would have come more forward. NL: Granny takes a dip maakt mijn huid wederom lekker zacht en zorgt voor een heerlijk, ontspannend bad. Ik vind deze geur echter wel wat minder, vooral omdat je de zwarte peper vrij duidelijk ruikt. Hij is heel kruidig en dat vind ik normaal geen probleem, maar hier is het wat overheersend. Van mij mocht de gember en citroen wel wat meer naar voren komen.

But eventually I thought it was a lovely box to try out. I didn't really love Granny takes a dip and wouldn't buy that one again, but the Unicorn bubble bar is something I would definitely rebuy. Maybe we will see this one again someday (I hope with another, cuter design, but with the same, lovely scent). For now I still have a little northern lights left, and I think that one comes along very well. NL: Al met al vond ik het toch wel een fijne box. De geur van Granny takes a dip was met wat tegengevallen, maar naarmate je wat langer in bad lag wende je er wel aan. Dit is geen product wat ik opnieuw zou kopen, maar bij de unicorn bubble bar zou ik dat wel doen!
